The Wild Wave is one of the finest local charter fishing boats in San Francisco, California. Skippered by Captain Tom, this 32’ Roberts built vessel was built for the rough waters and provides plenty of fishing room along the rail. Guests can choose to fish along the San Francisco coast while taking in the beautiful sights of the bay. Or, they can choose deep sea fishing where the most impressive fish are located.
Captain Tom at the helm of the Wild Wave along with his crew, will make sure you have a safe, pleasant and enjoyable trip. Tom was very fortunate his father Tom Sr. took him fishing with him every time he went and passed along his love of fishing. Back in 1997 El Nino hit the California coast with warm water where Tom and crew set a California State record for a one day trip for Albacore which stands to this day. Captain Tom has held a United States Captains License for over 25 years.
Our Half Day trip is the most popular trip for locals and tourist. It is a favorite trip for families looking to spend some time together on the water.
For the first timers, the crew will be more than happy to help you set up your gear and get fishing. If you have a little more experience, they can give you some pointers to make you trip more enjoyable. We love having children on board teaching them how to fish and sharing our passion of fishing. Half Day trips fish in the calm waters of San Francisco and San Pablo bays. You’ll be fishing by world famous Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco skyline.
You can join an open load trip or charter the whole boat. If you charter the whole boat you can pick a departure time that works best for you. All bait, tackle, rod and reel are included. A California fishing license is needed for anyone 16 years of age and older, the link is provided at the bottom of the page. Fish cleaning is also provided all catch will be filleted and bagged in one gallon freezer bags for you to take home and enjoy.

Full Day trips fish in the Pacific Ocean for King Salmon, Rock Cod and Ling Cod. We will be steaming under the Golden Gate Bridge and either be fishing breath taking Marin or San Mateo coastlines.
